Perth Festival reveals first 2027 headliner

Northern Irish folk singer-songwriter Foy Vance is the first headliner to be revealed for Perth Festival 2027.

The Emmy Award-winner will perform at East Perth Power Station on Sunday, February 7, as part of his 2027 World Tour: Celebrating ‘The Wake’ And The Songs Of ‘If’.

The Perth date follows on from shows in Brisbane and Melbourne, with legendary Australian folk group The Paper Kites joining Vance as special guests for all tour dates.

The national tour celebrates Vance’s 2026 album The Wake, while also presenting his latest project: a three-part album to be released in staggered stages. The first of the EPs, IF: WE, is due for release on Friday, October 30, and examines themes of relationships, homesickness, and embracing failure through Vance’s blend of folk and soul. Two EPs titled IF: YOU and IF: I are set to follow in 2027.
