Luna Outdoor Cinemas is holding a screening of Muscle Shoals. A documentary about the tiny Alabama town that provided the birthplace of ’60s funk and soul, it includes interviews with a cohort of musos, including Bobby Womack, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Picket and Keith Richards. Opening night starts at 7pm on Saturday, January 11, and the screening continues until the following Wednesday. The event will feature wine, pizza and Little Creatures Ale. Tickets are just over $17 and available from the Luna Cinemas website here, so if you’ve ever wondered where the music from those old Scorsese flicks came from, head on down.
