MICHAEL WARD Something new

Western Australian singer-songwriter Michael Ward has released his latest single Nothing New from his upcoming debut EP – The Jarrah Tree, which is due for release this spring.

It comes after Ward released his debut single Swell earlier this year, which enjoyed the success of multiple radio station interviews and airplay, a tour of WA and multiple festival appearances.

Nothing New shares the tale of two lovers and how the relationship evolves from crude introduction and tense passion before the raw unapologetic culmination. The track features Perth artists Shaun Street (The Rough Housers and Perth Open Mic) on bass, Erin Gordon (The Reductors and The Quivers) on cajon, Rachelle Kearney (Skeleton Jump) on backing vocals and Madeleine Antoine on violin.

Following the release, Michael Ward is expanding from WA and bringing his music to the rest of Australia with a National Tour to promote his upcoming EP.
