Perth rock fans it’s time to get excited with two special screenings of Meal Tickets, a documentary about Perth rock band Screwtop Detonators and their one-time roadie Will Stoker, screening this July at Luna Leederville as a part of the Revelation Film Festival 2017.
Meal Tickets, by film director Mat De Koning, focuses on the bands role in the Perth music scene, Melbourne and their tour to the U.S. The film explores what it’s like to be on the road as a young rock band and documents the splintering of relationships, new friendships and teenage dreams and expectations.
Meal Tickets provides a unique insight into the world of touring and what it takes to make it.
There are two screenings during festival, the first is on July 8 at 6:30pm and the second July 18 at 2:30pm. The festival is also hosting an afterparty to the July 8 screening at Club Rev, Babushka Leederville where Will Stoker & The Embers will be performing live.
