Marksman Lloyd takes aim with new single and tour dates
WA rapper and poet Marksman Lloyd has announced a run of shows celebrating the release of his new single Jaws, which dropped on Thursday, August 20.
The Albany/Kinjarling-raised artist will kick things off at Prince of Wales, Bunbury, on Friday, September 5, before heading to Four5Nine, North Perth, on Friday, September 11. The run wraps up at Settlers Tavern, Margaret River, on Wednesday, September 16.
Marksman Lloyd first made his mark as runner-up in the Australian National Poetry Slam at the Sydney Opera House, going on to build an eclectic, genre-blending catalogue that draws from hip-hop, folk, soul and more.
Having toured Australia, the US and South-east Asia, Marksman has also taken home the WAM Song of the Year, performed as a TEDx poet and shared stages with high-profile artists including Macklemore, Machine Gun Kelly and Peking Duk.
