Lucky Oceans and David Milroy come together for a night of Stories, Songs and Steel Guitars

Two of Western Australia’s most prized music legends, Lucky Oceans and David Milroy, are set to look back on their abundant careers in a night of music and storytelling at Burswood’s Venue 360 on Saturday, August 15.

Two-time Grammy Award-winning pedal steel guitarist Lucky Oceans and praised songwriter, playwright, and proud Palyku artist David Milroy met in the 80s, beginning a decades-long friendship that would see them performing together in the 2020s. For this special show, the duo have joined forces to bring Stories, Songs and a Steel Guitar to the stage—a night to reflect on their remarkable careers spanning theatre, country music and life on the road.

The event will include stories from Ocean’s years performing with Asleep at the Wheel, Willie Nelson and Eric Clapton, alongside Milroy’s experiences growing up in Perth, creating theatre and performing at local venues. Their stories will be presented alongside original songs, classic tracks and photographs projected during the performance.
