Legendary Aussie rockers The Beasts announce national tour
Following sold out 40th Anniversary shows in Sydney and Melbourne last year, Aussie rockers The Beasts have announced a national tour. The Beasts’ line-up of Tex Perkins, Boris Sujdovic, Charlie Owen, Kim Salmon and James Baker will head west for a show at Freo. Social on Saturday, April 13. The tour also includes dates in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and two shows in Victoria.
The group said they approached last year’s shows cautiously as drummer James Baker was diagnosed with, and had been receiving treatment, for cancer. “We had no idea how he would handle the work required to play these gigs” said Tex Perkins. “Well, he not only got through the gigs, but he fucking nailed them! Like a sledgehammer nails a thumbtack.”
“It was a glorious triumph, and the gigs were full of ferocious fun with a hell of a lot of love in the room! His doctors even said ‘play more! It’s good for you’. Yes, that’s right Ladies and Gentlemen ‘Rock n roll is good for you’. So, following doctor’s orders, we are going at it again!!”
The Beasts play Freo. Social on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Tickets are on sale now from www.texperkins.com
