Kingswood hit the road for The Midnight Mavericks Tour

Gold ARIA-certified country rock band Kingswood have announced their newest single, a bold rendition of Tom Petty’s You Wreck Me, alongside news of a national tour.

Blending the signature raw energy of classic rock with modern country and soulful harmonies, the multi-platinum band has today released You Wreck Me as a powerful tribute to one of rock’s greatest icons.

“It’s love, chaos, and obsession colliding at full speed,” the band said of their take on the iconic track. “It’s the feeling of being completely wrecked by someone. It’s something we’ve all lived through. When we play it, we’re tapping into that raw, untamed emotion, like going into a boxing ring.”

Kingswood have also announced a massive 32-date Australian The Midnight Mavericks Tour, with six dates across Western Australia. The tour hits Roebuck Bay Hotel, Broome, on Thursday, June 12; Hula Bar, Karratha, on Friday, June 13; Froth Craft Brewery in Exmouth on Saturday, June 14; Froth Craft Brewery in North Beach on Friday, June 20; Froth Craft Brewery in Bunbury on Saturday, June 21; and Six Degrees in Albany on Sunday, June 22.

Formed in 2007 in Melbourne, Kingswood have released six studio albums, scored multiple places in triple j’s Hottest 100 lists, and played support slots for rock legends like AC/DC and Aerosmith.
