Psych-rock gods King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have announced that they will be heading to The Astor Theatre for two special shows on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 to celebrate their FOURTEENTH studio album, Fishing For Fishies which is out April 26.
It’s the seven pieces’ first headline tour of Australia since 2015, having only toured around with Gizzfest in recent years. The band also achieved what most thought was impossible by releasing five albums in one year in 2018, including the popular, Flying Microtonal Banana and Sketches of Brunswick East.
The band have been playing huge shows around the world, and 2019 touring moments will see them sell 10,000 tickets at London’s famous Alexandra Palace and they’ll play and pack Central Park and the Greek Theatre in the US.
