Karnivool celebrate In Verses with new single and album launch party

To celebrate the release of their fourth studio album, In Verses, Perth prog-metal legends Karnivool have announced their new single, Animation, and a run of acoustic album launch parties.

The five-piece are set to bring intimate performances to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, before wrapping up the run at Rosemount Hotel on Sunday, February 16.

Fans can expect to see the band play an exclusive short acoustic set for the first time in fourteen years, with a showcase of new tunes and old favourites. There will also be record signing sessions and exclusive merch on offer.

Ahead of the launch party, fans will be able to get a taste of Karnivool’s new album with their latest release, Animation, out now. Animation was one of the first songs to come together for the album, written whilst the band worked on their single All It Takes. Check it out below.

The band’s newest album, In Verses, is out on Friday, February 6, via Cymatic Records / Sony Music, and was built with longtime collaborator Forrester Savell. The record attempts to reflect Karnivool’s life experiences in the last decade through ten tracks, which journey through feelings of frustration, catharsis and a rediscovery of identity.

Over the past 20 years, Karnivool have cemented their status as one of Australia’s most influential hard rock bands. Their unique approach to heavy and progressive music has delivered three acclaimed and platinum-certified records: Themata (2005), its follow-up, Sound Awake (2009), and the ARIA award-winning #1 album, Asymmetry (2013). Karnivool have played sold-out shows at London’s Roundhouse and gigs in South Africa, India and Dubai, and have appeared at Download and Hellfest.

Karnivool bring their In Verses album launch party to Rosemount Hotel on Sunday, February 16, 2026. Tickets are on sale now from karnivool.com. Karnivool’s new single, Animation, is out now. In Verses is out on Friday, February 6, via Cymatic Records / Sony Music.
