City of South Perth announces free outdoor concert series
The City of South Perth has announced a free outdoor concert series, kicking off next month at Ryrie Reserve in Como on Saturday, February 21.
The first edition of the series, Sounds in the Park, is set to feature performances by multiple Australian musicians, with Brisbane pop artist Conrad Sewell headlining the event. The ARIA award winner has toured with Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5, and will be supported onstage by Perth indie-pop rockers Shorehaven.
Sounds in the Park will also include entertainment from circus group Acrobatch, children’s activities with Art Jam WA, Youth Makers Markets, and a variety of food trucks.
Sounds of Bunuru then kicks off at James Miller Oval in Manning on Saturday, March 21, with Australian R&B and dance artist and ARIA nominee Becca Hatch headlining the event.
Hatch will also be joined by 2025 WAM Vocalist of the Year Jarred Wall on the night, performing as the electropop Boox Kid trio, and hip hop performer Kayps.
Attendees can expect entertainment from Enchanted Stiltwalking, face painting by Mollydag Faces, a Djoona Smoking Ceremony and yarn with local Elder Joe ‘jopossum’ Collard and more on the night. Attendees are also encouraged to bring picnic rugs or camping chairs, as well as their own food and drinks to enjoy.
