Karma Llama Records turns up the volume with heavy metal night in Bridgetown

Karma Llama Records in Bridgetown is turning up the volume with a night of original metal music this Saturday, April 26.

Titled Heavy Metal Comes to B-Town, the night will feature two of Western Australia’s favourite metal acts, Psychonaut (pictured) and Amberdown.

Formed in 1997, Psychonaut are known for their high-octane mix of power, thrash, and classic heavy metal, inspired by bands like Motörhead, Slayer and Black Sabbath. Fronted by Mark De Vattimo (ex-Voyager), the band has shared stages with Death Angel, Exodus, Karnivool, Enforcer and Ace Frehley.

Joining them on the night are Amberdown, who have been delivering their powerful blend of hard rock and metal since 2014. Drawing inspiration from bands like Chevelle, Foo Fighters, and Sevendust, the trio have shared stages with legends such as Mötley Crüe and Alice Cooper. They arrive hot on the heels of their latest album, Four Years, and recent single Spare Me The Lies.

After opening as a record store in 2022, Karma Llama Records expanded to incorporate a live music space and bar in 2024. The venue owners say they hope to continue supporting original Australian music as much as they can with the new venture, with dreams of moving forward as a label also in the pipeline.

Heavy Metal Comes to B-Town hits Karma Llama Records on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Tickets are on sale now from humanitix.com
