Grammy Award-winning bassist Marcus Miller returns to Australia
Five-time Grammy Award-winning US bassist Marcus Miller is returning to Australia for a national tour next year, starting at Riverside Theatre on Tuesday, April 13, 2027.
The upcoming tour will also stop in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide and will display an unforgettable catalogue of Miller’s music. Fans can expect to hear singles from his 2018 album Laid Black, including Trip Trap, Que Sera, Sera and 7-Ts, as well as older songs such as Love You, My Best Friend’s Girlfriend and Free.
Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Miller has formed a career spanning more than four decades in smooth jazz, R&B, rock, and funk. His recordings, film scores and productions have earned him international acclaim, a UNESCO Artist for Peace status, and recognition as one of the greatest bass players of all time.
Showcasing a blend of funk, jazz, soul and R&B with groove and improvisation, Miller has collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers and more.
