Goth icons The Sisters of Mercy return to Australia

UK dark rock icons The Sisters of Mercy will return to Australia this year, kicking off their national tour at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Wednesday, November 25.

Formed in Leeds in 1980, The Sisters of Mercy emerged as one of the defining post-punk acts of their era. Led by the deeply melancholic vocals of Andrew Eldritch, the band’s fusion of punk psychedelia, metal, dance rhythms and baritone growl inspired generations of followers and influenced artists like Metallica, Nine Inch Nails and My Chemical Romance.

Across four decades, the band have released three influential studio albums featuring classic tracks including Lucretia My Reflection, Temple Of Love and This Corrosion.

The Australian tour lineup features Ben Christo, Kai, ‘Ravey’ Dave Creffield and Doktor Avalanche.

The Sisters of Mercy hit Astor Theatre on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. Tickets are on sale Thursday, May 28 from sbmpresents.com
