First Sculpture West exhibition set to make a SPLASH

Sculpture West are set to mark their official launch with SPLASH!, a vibrant sculpture showcase which will take over the industrial building at 12 Cleaver St from Thursday, August 20 to Sunday, August 30. The exhibition will bring together a mix of professional contemporary artists working across abstract, figurative, kinetic, ceramic, cast, and modelled forms. The exhibition is free and open to all art lovers, collectors and families.

Artworks will be for sale, with proceeds supporting artists and Sculpture West’s mission to connect and grow WA’s sculpture community.

“SPLASH! is a unique celebration of the vibrancy of sculptural practice in this state,” said artistic director and co-curator Sandra Murray. “With artists ranging from emerging to established, metropolitan and regional, working across diverse media, this exhibition has something for everyone.”

Building on the decade-plus legacy of Sculpture at Bathers, Sculpture West will create opportunities for sculptors at every career stage through exhibitions, events, and community programs.
