Good news, entries for 2017 The Act-Belong-Commit Fairbridge Festival Quest Song Writing Competition are now open. The festival takes place annually in April at the bushland site of Fairbridge Village (5kms from Pinjarra) is looking for West Australian folk, roots, blues and acoustic song writers to take part for the chance to win a perform place at the festival. Presented by FolkWorld Inc., not for profit organisation, the festival promotes a happy and family friendly environment for people to have a pleasant weekend and festival experience.
The competition consist of two categories are Song: Craft and Song: Performance and is open to age groups 12-15yrs and 16-18yrs. The prizes included for the winners of each category are Fairbridge Festival live performance, John Butler Studio recording session voucher, WAMCon 2017 ticket, WAM Song of the Year entries and more; This a great opportunity for new and emerging song writers who are keen to make their mark in an industry which can often be tough and unforgiving for band/artists.
