Dom Mariani makes a sweet return with Apple of Life album launch
Revered Australian guitar-pop craftsman Dom Mariani is set to launch his acclaimed new solo album Apple of Life at The Duke of George on Friday, March 13.
Known for his pioneering work as the frontman of The Stems, DM3, Datura4 and The Someloves, the artist released his long-awaited second solo album, Apple of Life, on October 31, 2025, via Alive Naturalsound Records. Recorded in Fremantle, the album showcases Mariani’s gift for melody and signature power-pop style.
Fans can expect to hear fresh tracks off the new album live, such as Apple of Life, Jangleland, World On Its Head and the latest release, Breaking Point, alongside classic tracks from The Stems, The Someloves, DM3, The Majestic Kelp and Datura4.
On the night, the live band is set to feature Joe Grech (Datura4) on guitar and vocals, Toni Italiano (DM3) on bass and vocals, and Jamie Turner (The High Learys) on drums and vocals.
With a career that spans over four decades, Dom Mariani has solidified his reputation as one of Australia’s most influential guitar-pop songwriters. The musician’s signature sound, inspired by underground 60s garage rock, hard and classic rock, power pop, soul and R&B, has seen him become a Western Australian Hall of Fame inductee.
Dom Mariani is also set to play at X-Press Magazine’s 40th Birthday and Book Launch Event at Astor Theatre on Wednesday, March 18, alongside Kav Temperley (Eskimo Joe), Gyroscope, Donna Simpson (The Waifs), Cal Kramer (Southern River Band) and Dave Hole.
