Carla Geneve announces third album Don’t Be Afraid

Albany-born, Perth-based singer-songwriter Carla Geneve has announced the release of her new single, Better Believe It, alongside news of an upcoming third album.

The new song and video clip release (check it out below) comes ahead of the indie singer’s third album, Don’t Be Afraid, out on Friday, October 17, via Dot Dash Recordings / Remote Control.

Created alongside music producer Dan Carroll, Don’t Be Afraid is set to be a deeply personal exploration of fear, acceptance, and love, with piano-driven emotional melodies and careful lyricism. The new album is also partly inspired by the Irish poet Seamus Heaney’s last words.

Geneve’s third album release follows her critically acclaimed debut album, Learn to Like It, and second album, HERTZ, which saw her gain recognition as a record-breaking seven-time winner of WAM Song of the Year. Geneve also has performed at Falls Festival, Laneway, and Party in the Paddock, with support slots for Cat Power, Kurt Vile, Julia Jacklin, Belle & Sebastian and Gareth Liddiard.

Carla Geneve’s new single, Better Believe It, is out now. Her new album, Don’t Be Afraid, is out on Friday, October 17, 2025. For more info and to pre-order the album, head to linktr.ee/carlageneve
