CARAVÃNA SUN Here comes the sun

Sydney/Byron Bay collective Caravãna Sun
have announced their third studio album Burning Palms. The 10 track album, written and recorded all within the past two years includes the previously released singles Charlie, the personal song Stella, the psychedelic and euphoric Afterlife and their uplifting new song Leave It Behind.

The band have also announced an album tour which includes WA shows in Margaret River, Exmouth, Karratha, Broome and Fremantle.

Our song Leave It Behind was written in Munich, 2019,” the band said. “It’s a song about trust and courage in the face of adversity. At the time, we had no idea we were on the eve of a global pandemic. It became our anthem to keep traversing this deep fracture in the arts community and hold true to our connection to music and the profound impact it’s had on our lives.”

Although their new album was written whilst on tour in Munich and Lisbon, Burning Palms was recorded in a secluded space in the Blue Mountains, NSW. It was produced by Caravãna Sun, and mixed by Andy Lawson (Death By Denim, Eskimo Joe, End of Fashion, Little Birdy) at Perth’s Debaser Studio.

Since 2011 Caravãna Sun have played over 300 shows/festivals/open airs in Europe and the UK and have toured with iconic artists Madness, UB40, The Cat Empire and Fat Freddys Drop and more.

“We’re super excited to take this record on the road. With shows around Australia and over two months of shows booked throughout Europe and the UK, we’re beyond ready to bring this live energy back to the people,” they said.
