Bunbury Fringe festival celebrates its tenth anniversary with action-packed lineup

Bunbury Fringe festival is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2026, transforming the Bunbury CBD into a playground of theatre, music, dance, comedy, circus, poetry, and more from Friday, January 23, to Saturday, January 31.

The festival’s tenth anniversary program is one of the biggest yet, packed with acclaimed new works, returning favourites, and performances from acclaimed Australian and international artists.

The festival is set to launch its birthday with an all‑out Opening Night Party hosted by Fringe icon Famous Sharron, featuring giveaways, DJs, a vinyl listening lounge with aerials, and the long‑awaited return of Perth-based indie band Marmalade Mama, performing live for the first time since 2018.

Across the week, music lovers can enjoy performances by Afro-Cuban band De Cuban Son and Noongar performers Mayakeniny with Maatakitj, as well as the funk and soul of the Steve Hensby Band and DJ sets by DJ Princi & Head Over Heels, DJ Kojo and more. Attendees can also enjoy Jonny Reid, Kate Hindle and Jamie Hall‘s celebration of country music with Country Nights.

For fans of theatre, cabaret and performance, attendees can enjoy Michelle Pearson’s cabaret comedy Skinny, the spoken word and soulful music performance ORPHEUS, the one-man homage to Charlie Chaplin, Smile: The Story of Charlie Chaplin, circus acts You and I, the late‑night cabaret chaos of Messy Friends: Party Favours and the National Poetry Slam Heat.

Bunbury Fringe will offer experiences for all ages, with family-friendly events such as the Fringe Kids Birthday Party and the returning dog parade, and the circus experience for babies, Bloom and Wonder.

The program will also feature returning Fringe staples, including the Bunbury Comedy Club, Comedy Gala, Big Top Movies with screenings of Curious George (G) and The Hangover (MA 15+), and the sing-along in the garden, Our Shout, alongside new collaborations with local artists, schools and community groups.

Bunbury Fringe festival takes over Bunbury CBD from Friday, January 23, to Saturday, January 31, 2026. For more information and tickets, visit bunburyfringe.com
