Bic Runga hits the road with Red Sunset national album tour

New Zealand pop-rock artist Bic Runga is set to head down under for the first time in fifteen years, with her Red Sunset Tour hitting Freo.Social on Thursday, April 16.

The tour, which is also set to hit stages in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra, celebrates the release of Bic Runga’s new album, Red Sunset, which was released on Friday, February 13. The album marks Runga’s first collection of all-original material released since 2011, marking a new chapter for the celebrated artist.

Fans can expect to see the much-loved musician perform songs from the new album, such as the lead single Red Sunset, It’s Like Summertime and Paris in the Rain, alongside classic tracks including Drive, Sway and Beautiful Collision.

As one of New Zealand’s most celebrated artists, Bic Runga has spent more than two decades creating songs that feel both intimate and universal. Her 1997 debut album Drive changed the face of New Zealand pop, with the album going multi-platinum in her home country. Her track Sway additionally found its way onto Hollywood film soundtracks, carrying her songs beyond Aotearoa. The artist is also a multi-Tūī and Silver Scroll award winner and the youngest inductee into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame.

Bic Runga’s Red Sunset Album Tour hits Freo.Social on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Tickets are on sale now from livenation.com
