Auslan interpreted laughs heading to Perth this weekend
Three hit stand-up comedy shows are coming to Perth Comedy Festival this weekend, with Auslan interpreters on board to help deliver the all-inclusive laughs.
Alexandra Hudson kicks off the weekend with her new show Making Lemonade at The Rechabite this Friday, May 10 at 6.45pm. Exploring her experiences as a disabled woman and challenging the misconceptions held about her, Hudson believes that if society thinks of her as a lemon, she may as well use them to make herself some sweet lemonade. Hudson took joint first place in Raw Comedy, was the 2023 Comedy Zone cast member, and is described as “one to watch” by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Also hitting The Rechabite on Friday night, Dancing With the Stars 2024 cast member and comedy columnist Nikki Osborne brings her internationally renowned, ground-breaking show Spectrum to the Northbridge venue at 8pm. In this heartfelt and hilarious show, Osborne delves into the diverse experiences of family members on the autism spectrum.
Bringing his new live show Hot Dogs Probably Aren’t Real to Astor Theatre this Saturday, May 11, Nat’s What I Reckon is a comedian, noisy musician, mental health advocate, and award-winning, bestselling author. His comedy has drawn a wonderfully diverse audience of over 4.7 million people worldwide, with his videos seeing hundreds of millions of views and his live shows selling out theatres and comedy festivals in both Australia and across the globe.
