Roxette announce 2025 Australia tour

Almost five years since Roxette tragically lost Marie Fredriksson to cancer, the duo’s frontman, songwriter, and founder, Per Gessle, is picking up the torch and taking their worldwide hits on the road again.

In 2016, Roxette did what we believed were to be their last ever concerts, but Perth fans will get another chance to see the Swedish pop-rock act live when they kick off their Australian tour at Kings Park and Botanic Garden on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

To bring Roxette’s famous two-part harmonies to life on stage, Gessle is bringing his long-time collaborator Lena Philipsson to join him on this upcoming tour.

“She’s been a friend of mine since the ’80s and I actually wrote her first song, (Kärleken är evig) which was her first big hit in Sweden,” he said. “And she’s a tremendous singer, she’s a little older, just like me and an amazing performer, so I think she’s just the perfect match for this project.”

Roxette were a hit-making machine in Australia, achieving four Top Three albums with Look Sharp!, Joyride, Tourism, and Crash!Boom!Bang!, hit songs Dressed For Success, Listen To Your Heart, Dangerous, Fading Like A Flower, and number one singles The Look, It Must Have Been Love and Joyride.

Roxette play Kings Park and Botanic Garden on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Tickets are on sale Friday, May 10 from livenation.com.au
