American author and commentator Fran Lebowitz brings her ‘scathing and insightful social commentary’ to Perth

Renowned American writer, social commentator and unapologetically opinionated humorist, Fran Lebowitz, will bring her ‘scathing and insightful social commentary’ to Perth Concert Hall on Saturday, February 17 as part of a national tour.

Lebowitz arrives following the recent Netflix documentary series Pretend It’s a City, directed by her friend Martin Scorsese, which has left audiences spellbound with its tantalising glimpse into New York City, accompanied by her searing and contemptuous critique of the very essence of existence there.

As she takes the stage, Lebowitz will unleash her ultimate perspectives on a myriad of topics, sparing no aspect of her life for scrutiny. From her turbulent upbringing in New Jersey and her expulsion from high school, branded as a pernicious influence on her peers, to her audacious plunge into 1970s New York City, where she penned a column for Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine, Lebowitz will offer insights into the pressing issues of our time, including gender, race, politics, and the media.

Fran Lebowitz hits Perth Concert Hall on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Tickets are on sale now from perthconcerthall.com.au
