This November will see Elizabeth Quay host the first ever Arcadia Australia spectacular. Two of UK’s EDM pioneers Shy FX and Leftfield DJ set open the three day extravaganza on the night of Friday November 25.
Other than Shy FX and Leftfield DJ set Arcadia will feature Alice in Wonderland, Carmada, Elk Road, Yallorr Keeninyarra, Lords Of Lightning and many more.
Perth will be the only destination on Arcadia‘s Australian tour, making it a must see. Saturday and Sundays performances will feature the hottest Australian electronic artists. There will be two over 18 gigs on the Friday and Saturday and an underage one on the Sunday.
The festival will feature the award winning fire breathing spider featured at Glastonbury. The spider is created from repurposed military and industrial hardware such as jet engines, cranes etc. The machine can fire 15 plus metre fireballs and is animated by state of the art equipment.
Each of the shows will feature a dynamic mix of local, national and international artists. In a world first the Arcadia spider will meet the sacred Wadjuk spider of Garrgatup [Kings Park] represented through a traditional dance by the Wadjuk Nyungar People.
The director general of the department of culture and art, Duncan Ord believes Arcadia provides a unique opportunity for WA artists and also helps continue Perth’s cultural growth.
Tickets are available for $99 plus booking fee at www.arcadiaaustralia.com as well as a full lineup. For over 18’s a weekender ticket is available for the Friday and Saturday gigs at $160 plus booking fee.
