EVENT GUIDE TOP 5 Prayers for (no) rain

With a weekend off from the footy before finals start, there’s always the salvation of top-tier entertainment to soften the blow. 1. Flight Facilities

Ever since storming onto the scene with Hottest 100 hit Crave You in 2010, Flight Facilities have made a name for themselves as one of the best live Australian electronic acts out there. They are on the road in celebration of latest track All Your Love, and play at the Fremantle Arts Centre this Saturday with The Kite String Tangle in tow.


2. No Mono

The brainchild of Big Scary/#1 Dads’ Tom Iansek and good friend Tom Snowdon (formerly of Lowlakes), No Mono is an experimental electronic project that’s getting as many rave reviews as their previous works (that is to say, many). The pair take to the stage at Jack Rabbit Slim’s on Saturday night with special guest Jeffe.


3. Stuff You Should Know

Stuff You Should Know podcast has been running for over 10 years and has developed a gargantuan fan base as a result of their hilarious yet informative shows. Josh Clark and Chuck Bryant are heading to the Astor Theatre this weekend and guarantee an evening to be remembered.


4. Legally Blonde

The 2001 smash-hit we all know and love is playing at the Regal Theatre until the end of this weekend. With some of Australia’s most talented actors involved including Lynne McGranger, John O’Hara and Jamie Mercanti, you can’t deny the calibre of this show.
