METALLICA Worldwired Tour confirmed for Perth


The rumours are true! Heavy-metal giants Metallica are headed down under for their first ever headline stadium tour in Australia and New Zealand.

This continues their Worldwired tour which has already seen them play over 130 shows across the world since launching in 2016. Oh, and they’ll be bringing Slipknot along for the ride.

The tour leg will kick off in Perth at Optus Stadium on October 17 and take in capital cities, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before heading to New Zealand to play Auckland. It is the first time the band has played in Australia since 2013 and the first time in New Zealand since 2010.

Every punter to purchase a ticket will receive a copy of the band’s tenth studio album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct and an MP3 download of the show they attended, mixed and mastered by the team behind Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.

October 17 – Perth @ Optus Stadium
October 20 – Adelaide @ Adelaide Oval
October 22 – Melbourne @ Marvel Stadium
October 26 – Sydney @ ANZ Stadium
October 29 – Brisbane @ QSAC
October 31 – Auckland @ Mt. Smart Stadium 

Tickets will go on sale to the general public through Live Nation on Monday, March 18 at 2pm Perth time. Fan Club pre-sales begin Tuesday, March 12 from 1pm.

Metallica will play Optus Stadium in Perth on Thursday, October 17, 2019 with Slipknot supporting.
