GIRLS NIGHT OUT 2nd show & talent announce

Sisters are doing it for themselves!

What better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than with today’s announcement that due to overwhelming popular demand, Girls Night Out has added a second show at the Astor Theatre on Friday, May 31.

This is a night where ALL of the singers, ALL of the charts, arrangements and compositions, ALL of the songs, plus ALL of the orchestral instruments on the night, from strings right through to drums and bass, are by women. You will likely never have seen this many incredible ladies in one place before!

Featuring fully orchestrated versions of Beyoncé, Tina Turner, Madonna, Adele, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone and so many more like you’ve never heard them before, Girls Night Out is a celebration of women, by women, for everyone.

And with a talent roster that includes Perth Symphony Orchestra‘s first ever all female orchestra, world renowned conductor Jessica Gethin, the incredible voices of Lucy Peach, Odette Mercy, Rose Parker and Sophie Foster (the latter three pictured above outside the Astor Theatre this week), the compositional talents of Kathy Potter, Cara Fesjian and Stephanie Nicholls, and even more powerhouse voices with Alana Fay, Chelsea Cullen and Mia Matthiessen joining the 25-strong orchestra as backing vocalists, it is officially time to get some girl power in your life.

Girls Night Out hits the Astor Theatre on Thursday, May 30 and, just announced, on Friday, May 31. Tickets for both shows on sale now from perthsymphony.com
