With the jolliest time of the year almost upon us, it seems only apt to celebrate with some Christmas-related events happening around our city this week. 1. Drapht & Friends Xmas Party
Perth rap royalty Drapht is getting festive at the Rosemount Hotel this Sunday 23rd, with friends Marksman Lloyd, N’Fa Jones with Charlie Bucket, Premiss feat. Hyclass & Your Girl Pho. There ain’t no cooler way to celebrate.
2. Miles Away – A West Oz Christmas
After a two year break, Miles Away are bringing their sweet selves along with eight other punk and hardcore acts to the Amplifier Bar stage on Friday night. If you’re looking for a welcome change from dull Christmas carols, this is it.
3. Jingle Jangle Christmas
Four stellar locals, being the likes of DM3, The Chevelles, The Jac and The Psychotic Reactions, are taking over Mojo’s Bar this Friday night as we rock ‘n’ roll into Christmas.
4. Libby Hammer Christmas Jazz shows
With shows beginning today (Thursday) and going through to Saturday, Libby Hammer is serving up a dose of Christmassy jazz to suit the likes of all ages. The Ellington Jazz Club will be hosting the sessions, split into kids and adults shows, so head to their site for more details.
5. Festive Flicks
Northbridge Piazza is doing their last pre-Xmas screening this Saturday and it’s none other than family favourite Home Alone. Better still, it’s free! Check it out from 5:30pm.
