UK punk legends Buzzcocks announce Australian tour
Manchester punk pioneers Buzzcocks will return to Australia this year, bringing their arsenal of powerhouse punk anthems to Metropolis Fremantle on Sunday, October 27.
The band are set to play classic tracks from across their career, including What Do I Get, Orgasm Addict, Promises, You Say You Don’t Love Me, I Don’t Mind and of course the band’s UK top ten hit Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t Have Fallen In Love With).
Buzzcocks were formed by singer-songwriter-guitarist Pete Shelley and singer-songwriter Howard Devoto in Bolton in 1976. After releasing three albums, the band broke up in 1981 following a dispute with their record label, and reunited in 1989 and released six more albums before Shelley’s death in 2018.
Since then, Buzzcocks have been led by their original bassist Steve Diggle, who has assumed guitarist-and-singer duties. Their current line-up also includes Chris Remington on bass, Mani Perazzoli on guitar and Danny Farrant on drums.
Buzzcocks play Metropolis Fremantle on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Tickets are on sale now from davidroywilliams.com
