The Stranglers bring 50th anniversary celebrations down under
British punk and new wave rockers The Stranglers are bringing their 50th anniversary celebrations to Australia next year. The Fifty Years In Black: The Anniversary Tour tour kicks off in Sydney and hits Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide before wrapping up at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Emerging during the punk movement of the 1970s, The Stranglers achieved 24 UK Top 40 singles and 19 UK Top 40 albums over a six-decade career.
Their upcoming tour promises to be a celebration of their rich musical history, and fans can expect a setlist packed with hits from their impressive five-decade catalogue, including classics like Golden Brown, Always the Sun, No More Heroes and Peaches.
The tour comes just months after former Stranglers’ frontman Hugh Cornwell performed at Rosemount Hotel on a national tour in support of his latest album Moments of Madness.
