THE CAT EMPIRE Goodbye, goodbye

The Cat Empire
have announced they finally have “the green light” to travel to Western Australia for their farewell tour, hitting Red Hill Auditorium on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2.

Supporting entertainment on both evenings comes courtesy of Ollie McGill on solo piano, Grace Barbé, and Sunshine Brothers.

“Western Australia, we finally have the green light to come over to you,” The Cat Empire announced last night through their website and mailing list. “We can’t believe this is happening and are thrilled we will be able to celebrate the final shows of the original line-up of The Cat Empire with you on April 1 and 2.”

“So gather your friends and family and join us at Red Hill Auditorium for a night of music with Sunshine Brothers, Grace Barbé, a special piano solo set by our very own Ollie McGill, followed by a two-hour extravaganza of The Cat Empire and special guests,” they said. “We have a set-list jam-packed with favourite songs from our entire career and a line-up to bring it all to life. Join us for an unforgettable celebration with plenty of reflection and immeasurable joy.”

The Saturday, April 2 date for the tour is sold out, but tickets are still available to the all-ages event on Friday, April 1.

The Cat Empire were scheduled to hit WA on the tour in December, with the visit being postponed in November due to the border closure.
