It’s back! The Big Splash band comp has seen previous winners Scalphunter and Hideous Sun Demon go on to kick mega-goals, but the benefits for all the bands who enter make it really worth giving it a shot. The experience and exposure from participating in the competition can really give young bands a grounding in what it’s like to play regularly and perform at a consistent level in Perth’s major original music venues, with plenty of feedback and advice offered as heats turn into finals. And for the winner at the end, there’s a $10,000 prize.
