Tender is the Night series returns with Mitch McDonald and Nici Ward

Local live music event series Tender is the Night returns this month with an exciting new line-up of artists set to have their music reimagined with a string quartet.

This show will feature string quartet arrangements to accompany the grungy sounds of Mitch McDonald of The Love Junkies and Nici Ward of indie punk band Lonesome Dove.

The local singer songwriters will perform with the Tender Strings Quartet in the beautiful art deco Tivoli Theatre in Applecross on Saturday, May 25.

Attendees are invited to bring their own rugs, cushions, drinks and nibbles, with chairs available on request.

Tender is the Night began as a backyard concert series in 2020, with the first public edition of the event held the following year. Previous Tender is the Night guest stars have included Tanaya Harper, Simone and Girlfunkle and Michael Savage.
