Superchunk bring 30th anniversary tour of breakout album Foolish down under

North Carolina indie-rockers Superchunk are bringing the 30th anniversary celebrations of their classic fourth album, Foolish, down under for a national tour.

Australian fans are told they can look forward to a set leaning heavily on the Foolish album, plus hits and deep cuts from every era. The tour arrives in Western Australia for a show at Rosemount Hotel on Tuesday, December 10.

The breakout album, produced by Brian Paulson (Slint, Beck, Wilco), was the band’s first for the label they founded, Merge Records, and the label’s biggest seller of its early years. The album made SPIN’s top 20 albums of the year and featured many of the best-loved songs in their catalogue, including Water Wings, The First Part and Driveway To Driveway.

Superchunk’s Foolish 30th Anniversary Tour hits Rosemount Hotel on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Tickets are on sale Thursday, June 6 from troubadourpresents.com
