Split Enz reunite for first tour in nearly two decades

New Zealand art-rock legends Split Enz are reuniting for their first tour in almost two decades with the 2026 Forever Enz Tour.

The band, comprised of Tim Finn, Eddie Rayner, Neil Finn, and Noel Crombie, will head down under with a show at RAC Arena on Friday, May 22, 2026, with further shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

The tour precedes the band’s 50th anniversary of their debut album, Mental Noteswhich, alongside the band’s entire catalogue, is part of the Enzyclopedia re-release series, set for release on Friday, November 14, via Warner Music in Australia and NZ.

During their recording career, Split Enz released a string of era-defining hits across the 1970s and 1980s, including I Got You, I See Red, Message To My Girl, Six Months On A Leaky Boat, History Never Repeats and One Step Ahead.

Split Enz’s last live outing on Australian shores was 2009’s Sound Relief concert at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, with their last tour in mid-2006.

Formed in New Zealand in 1972, Split Enz relocated to Australia in 1975. The band is widely regarded as one of the most influential New Zealand bands ever. Their 1980 album release, True Colours, was certified 5x platinum in Australia, selling over 350,000 copies. Split Enz were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005 and are set to headline at Bluesfest in 2026.
