South Summit take debut album The Bliss on the road for national headline tour

Western Australian indie outfit South Summit are set to hit the road for an Australia and New Zealand headline tour this summer, celebrating the release of their debut album, The Bliss. The Aussie leg of the tour kicks off in Brisbane and hits Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide before wrapping up in Perth at The Rechabite on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

The tour comes off the back of a recent headline show at the Sydney Opera House, alongside an appearance on triple j’s Like A Version, where the band showcased their unique sound with a reggae-infused rendition of The Police’s classic Roxanne alongside their single Givin’ It Up from The Bliss.

The album, recorded under the guidance of producer Dave Parkin (Spacey Jane) and mastering engineer Brian Lucey (Post Malone, The Black Keys), is a fusion of reggae, indie rock, and hip-hop, and explores new sounds while staying true to the band’s roots.

The Bliss is a fresh new sound to our fans. We mixed up happy and sad vibes and everything in between. We had a blast experimenting with new sounds and pushing the limits of our production and live performance in the studio,” bassist Josh Trindall said. We like to call this vibe a mixture of everything we’re excited about right now, while keeping a hint of our classic South Summit feel.”

Over the past few years, South Summit have established themselves in the Australian live circuit, recently completing a national tour in 2023 backed by triple j and earning nominations for Unearthed Artist of the Year at the 2023 J Awards.

“We’re super looking forward to our AUS/NZ album tour next February/March! These are by far the biggest headline shows we’ve ever played, and we can’t wait to get out there and see everyone again,” the band said. These shows feel a little extra special though; it’s been a while since we’ve toured the whole country, and showcasing our debut album is something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time. We’ve got a brand new live show for you guys, and plenty more treats for ya! See you guys on the road.”
