Sound States WA-based music mentorship program returns for the sixth time

Returning for the sixth time, West Australian-based music management mentorship program, Sound States, has opened applications for early-career artists, managers and self-managed artists who are looking to grow their careers, confidence and skill sets at the free-to-attend program.

Taking place over three packed days from Monday, June 29, to Wednesday, July 1, at the State Library of Western Australia, Sound State delivers an immersive, hands-on experience, educating and inspiring the next generation of music managers.

Presented by 360 Artist Logistics, the program is filled with in-depth sessions from industry professionals, including independent managers, self-managed artists, publicists, tax accountants, and booking agents. Mentees can expect workshops, panel discussions and open conversations, gaining real-world insights into DIY career development, audience building, and sustainable pathways within the music industry.

Sound States offers successful applicants the opportunity to participate at no cost, with positions allocated to regionally-based participants, and the program covers all affiliated travel costs for regional attendees.

Sound States mentorship program returns to the State Library of Western Australia from Monday, June 29, to Wednesday, July 1, 2026.  To apply head here. Applications close on Thursday, April 23.
