Sarah Blasko returns with seventh album and national tour

Sarah Blasko has announced a national tour to celebrate the release of her seventh studio album, I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain. The tour kicks off in Sydney and hits Brisbane, Castlemaine, Melbourne and Adelaide before finishing up at Freo.Social on Friday, December 13.

The album, which comes out on Friday, November 1, is the newest addition to an acclaimed discography that includes six solo albums and two as part of Seeker Lover Keeper. Four of these records have reached Platinum Sales Status, and six have debuted in the ARIA Top 10.

The tour news arrives alongside a new single and video, Bothering Me, which features Sarah Blasko confronting dreams—both the kind we have when we’re asleep and the ones we hold for our future.

“Dreams seem to be a way of processing things that happen during the day, and so I embraced dreaming as a way of getting over things,” Blasko explains. “Getting older is tough. Sometimes I don’t know who I am anymore and that I’ve lost touch with the person I used to be and the dreams I held. I try to let go but not let go at the same time because dreams are important.”

Sarah Blasko is a three-time ARIA Award winner, an 18x ARIA Award nominee, has won the J Award for Australian Album of the Year, and has been shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize three times.

Sarah Blasko’s seventh album, I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain, is out on Friday, November 1, and available to pre-order now. Sarah Blasko’s national album tour hits Freo.Social on Friday, December 13, 2024. Tickets are on sale now from moshtix.com.au
