Review: The Cancelled Podcast Tour at Regal Theatre
The Cancelled Podcast Tour at the Regal Theatre
Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
On Tuesday night, Tana Mongeau and Brooke Schofield took to the stage for their second-to-last showing of their international Cancelled Podcast Tour.
The show comes just weeks after they announced the conclusion of their podcast at the end of this year, and this much was clear throughout, the two holding nothing back. Each story featured images, videos and dramatic reenactments, much to the adoration of the sold-out Regal Theatre. It was packed with hundreds of 20-something girls (and a small number of unwilling boyfriends), who greeted the influencers with decibel-breaking screeches upon their (late) arrival.
The show started off strong, with Tana announcing she’s had some bowel issues and warning the audience to beware, as she may run off at any time. With any boundaries already firmly broken, she then launched into three stories featuring victims of her past drug-fuelled vendettas, now able to look back on them sober. ‘Tina’, as she called her badly behaved alter ego, experimented with many different substances, spanning teenagerhood in Vegas and adulthood in LA. Now sober, Tana is apologetic to those she’s harmed, despite the stories making for good comedy.
Tana’s first retelling presented her longtime collaborator and photographer, Hunter Moreno, as the victim. During Tana’s early 20s, she developed an affinity for the photographer, as well as one for ‘downers.’ This combination led to disproportionate anger when realising Hunter did not share her feelings. This was followed by an attempt to rip up his passport and paint his walls with lipstick. Somehow, the two are still friends. Tana followed this with a story regarding her ‘ex-husband,’ Jake Paul, whom she never officially married. Following their ‘divorce,’ Her alter ego decided to make another appearance, in the midst of substance abuse still, and forced Paul to strip and then walk half a mile to confirm he was not “wired up.”
Amidst Tana’s accountability taking and mid-show bathroom dash for her bowels, co-host Brooke joined in roasting Tana’s poor decisions and her negative influence over their friend group, particularly over Brooke. From the allegations that Tyga offered to pay for Tana’s butt lift to Brooke scheming for Chris Brown to pay for her liposuction (which he eventually did thanks to a payout from a car crash Brooke was in with one of his drivers), it was clear that at the time, whatever Tana did, Brooke followed. This included bad fillers, partaking in OnlyFans, and getting herself into bad romances. A notable story for this audience was Brooke’s romance with a man pretending to be Australian.
To end the night, Paige, a former employee of Tana, contributed a slideshow of Tana’s most memorable moments that she fortunately cannot remember. Paige roasted her former boss and the unnecessary drama she brought with her. One thing was certain with that slideshow: a picture really does tell a thousand words.
Overall, this show was an amazing experience for the long-term and short-term fans of the YouTuber. Though some stories had been told before, nothing beats hearing them unscripted and with photos for reference.
