Perth indie rockers Fool Nelson unleash new EP Falling Apart
Boorloo/Perth-based indie-rock act Fool Nelson have released their new EP Falling Apart.
Produced and mixed by Andy Lawson (Noah Dillon, Mitch Santiago, Death by Denim) and mastered by Steve Smart (King Stingray, The Buoys, Ocean Alley), Falling Apart is a nostalgic blend of grungy indie-rock, inspired by acts like Alvvays, Slow Pulp and beabadoobee.
“Falling Apart was the first song that we wrote off the EP and the name just seemed to fit the mood of the rest of the tracks we were writing,” said the band upon unveiling the record. “The songs all kind of fit together with a common thread of us accepting that we’re not in control of everything in our lives and finding ways to deal with that. I think some of this comes across with how the songs have moments of chaos but also moments that are pretty and familiar.”
To celebrate the release, Fool Nelson are hitting the road for a headline tour across WA. The tour kicks off with Perth shows at The Rechabite on Friday, June 14, and an all-ages show The Y HQ on Saturday, June 15, before hitting Six Degrees, Albany, on Friday, June 28, The River, Margaret River, on Saturday, June 29, and Froth Craft Brewery, Exmouth, on Friday, July 12.
The tour adds to a previously announced run of shows supporting Old Mervs across Australia and New Zealand.
