JumpClimb’s Noodle Palace will finally be authenticating the noodle part of the title with Lucky Chan’s Laundry & Noodle Bar coming on board to bring a range of hawkers style asian eats to the award winning Fringe World venue.
Noodle Palace has been expanded to host 85 acts, a range of food options and local artisans from January 20 until February 19 of this year.
The venue opens next week and the menu, under the title of ‘Baby Chan’s’, will include a selection of Bao (beef shin and sticky pork) and for the first time noodle dishes.
The fresh and vibrant ‘Poke Bowls‘ will feature cold shocked noodles, mango, young coconut, garden vegetables, fresh herbs, coconut-lime dressing and three different meat options. The dragon fired char Sui pork (The Charmander), Asian cold poached salmon (The Squirtle) and a vegan option (The Bulbasaur).
The rooftop venue will be open 6 days a week during Fringe World. The venue has an extended program full of magic, mind control, comedy, cabaret and musical intrigue. The venue will also engage will local artisans and designers such as Remington Matters, Project Blak, Siouxx Tempest and Micktrics.
Some of the program highlights are award winning magician Matt Tarrant and his show Honestly Dishonest, mentalist Jeff Newman with his show Mind Games and long term Noodle Palace favourite Cabaret siren Amelia Ryan with Lady Liberty.
Some new acts to make their way to Noodle Palace for the first time are veteran Australian comic Greg Fleet, Tom Ballard (ABC/Triple J), Edinburgh Comedy Awards Panel Prize winning US comedian Adrienne Truscott and cult UK comedian Joey Page.
Some return acts are musical comedian Gillian Cosgriff with her new show 8 Songs in 8 Weeks, Damian Callinan and Paul Calleja as The Wine Bluffs and Adam Peter Scotts Trivia Death Match.
Other food options available before, during and after Fringe World shows including a Noodle Bar serving Aunty Chan’s Chicken Noodle and Fat Piggy Noodle with Chinese roasted Pork Belly.
For those who are a bit daring there will be a Black Market Noodle including crab and prawn, edamame, capsicum, enoke, Chinese wine, cracked egg and the ..erm.. deer penis dusting.
For the sweet-tooths a collaboration with Chicho Gelato will offer a fried noodle ice cream topped with caramel miso ripple and vietnamese nitro coffee.
Those chasing a midnight snack will be treated to Noodle Palace popcorn in plain or Sriracha and palm sugar flavours. For an extra pop of fun, Baby Chan’s will give everyone a chance to win a free bag by competing in Baby bottle flip competition each night.
As always the summer favourite rooftop venue with divine views over Perth city will be offering a range of cocktails, premium wine and beer.
Western Australian favourite Feral Brewery will be joining Noodle Palace this year offering Hop Hog, Sly Fox, War Hog and the newly launched Perth Local lager, with special selections to rotate through.
Vinaceous Wines will be back in 2017 pouring drops of their finest wines such as their Right Reverend V series, Raconteur Cabernet Sauvignon and the Sirenya Pinot Grigio.
The venue will offer a unique Asian influenced space with room to chat or dance depending on your mood.
