New three-day jazz festival to light up York this spring

A new jazz festival is coming to York this spring. Faversham Fringe Jazz Festival will bring together local and interstate artists with a curated program of traditional jazz, contemporary original jazz compositions, avant-garde jazz harp and more.

The line-up includes Kim Anning, Ali Bodycoat, Michelle Smith, Libby Hammer, Sam Anning and more.

The three day festival will take over the iconic Faversham House in York from Saturday, September 23 to Monday, September 25.

Built circa 1836, Faversham House is one of the oldest manors in Western Australia. This historic home is run as a bed and breakfast where guests can step back in time and immerse themselves in the grace and charm of the Victorian era.

Guests are invited to sip champagne in the Secret Garden before enjoying an elegant soiree in the stone amphitheatre, marvel at the stars while watching a concert on the lawn, and revisit the golden days of jazz as the ballroom morphs into a late-night jazz club, where, needless to say … anything goes.

Faversham Fringe Jazz Festival hits Faversham House in York from Saturday, September 23 to Monday, September 25, 2023. For more info and to buy tickets, head to favershamhouse.com.au
