Immersive dance spectacular The Mirror to ignite first ever RE//PERTH winter arts festival

In just a week, immersive urban festival RE//PERTH is set to transform forgotten spaces across Northbridge and beyond into hubs of artistic expression and cultural engagement.

Running from Thursday, July 4, to Sunday, July 14, RE//PERTH offers an accessible and diverse program including dance, music, fashion, food, gaming, arts and more over 50 free event sessions and a packed ticketed program.

Kicking off the first ever edition of the festival is The Mirror by Gravity and Other Myths, which takes over L’Euro Grande on Francis Street with a special preview session on Tuesday, July 2 and runs until Saturday, July 27.

In The Mirror, together with director Darcy Grant, artists will explore the concept of entertainment through the language of contemporary circus and question what the modern human finds entertaining.

The high-level dance and acrobatics in the piece are offset by an innovative contemporary design, using an LED wall, cameras and selfie sticks.

Highly expressive, playful and accompanied by the outstanding electronic compositions and pop mash-ups of composer Ekrem Eli Phoenix, the artists of GOM set out on a search for the ‘true’ self.

The Mirror takes over L’Euro Grande from Tuesday, July 2 to Saturday, July 27, as part of RE//PERTH 2024. Tickets are on sale now from reperth.com
