Hoodoo Gurus hit Rewind for their 45th anniversary with a national tour

Legendary Sydney rock four-piece Hoodoo Gurus are set to celebrate their 45th anniversary this December with a national homecoming tour.

The band will bring their Hoodoo Gurus Rewind Tour – All Killer, No Filler to Ice Cream Factory on Tuesday, December 1, with additional shows in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Joining Hoodoo Gurus on tour are Sydney indie pop-punk band Ratcat, celebrating their 40th anniversary as a group, along with legendary local garage rockers The Stems.

“We’ve often been described as a ‘singles band’, so for this Rewind tour we’re gonna embrace that notion by only playing songs that were released as singles,” the band’s frontman, Dave Faulkner, said. “No B-sides, no album tracks; we’ll just be concentrating on the hits—and quite a few misses as well!”

On the night, fans can expect a career-spanning set filled with Hoodoo Gurus’ chart-topping hits, including What’s My Scene, I Want You Back, Bittersweet, 1000 Miles Away, and Like Wow – Wipeout!.

Formed in Sydney in 1981, the Hoodoo Gurus became known for their fusion of garage rock grit with pop, which placed them at the forefront of the mid-1980s alternative, garage rock, and power pop movement. Their debut 1984 album, Stoneage Romeos, topped the US College/Alternative chart. Across four decades, Hoodoo Gurus have amassed ten ARIA Top 20 albums, nine Top 40 singles and multiple platinum certifications.

The band has shared stages with You Am I, The Dandy Warhols and Daryl Braithwaite and has secured festival slots at Under The Southern Stars, South by Southwest Music Festival and Azkena Rock Festival.

Hoodoo Gurus bring their Hoodoo Gurus Rewind Tour – All Killer, No Filler to Ice Cream Factory on Tuesday, December 1, 2026. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, June 23, from frontiertouring.com
