Holy Holy will finally take their fourth album Hello My Beautiful World on the road this year. The duo’s 18-date national headline tour includes WA shows at Metropolis Fremantle on Friday, April 22 and Out of the Woods Festival in Busselton on Saturday, April 23.
With their three full-length albums to date, Holy Holy have achieved over 100 million streams, gold and platinum singles, plus nominations for ARIA Awards, J Awards, National Live Music Awards and more.
Holy Holy released the triple j feature album, Hello My Beautiful World in August 2021, combining electronic beats, rolling synths, string arrangements and chanted vocals into a heady and persuasive mix. “We were given all the freedom in the world to do whatever we wanted, and this is what we did,” says vocalist and lyricist Timothy Carroll. “It’s a work we’re proud of. Some of the songs are really different for us, however, at the same time, I feel really connected to this album.”
Hello My Beautiful World features guest artists Japanese Wallpaper, Melbourne rapper Queen P, composer Toby Alexander, and The Presets’ Kim Moyes.
“When we work with people from different genres, it’s not that we’re totally different from them. There are heaps of similarities too. Music genres aren’t black-and-white,” said Oscar Dawson, the band’s guitarist and primary producer. “It’s all about the grey zone, and you meet somewhere in the middle. You’re similar enough to be together in the first place; but where you differ is where the light can come through,” he said.
Holy Holy play Metropolis Fremantle on Friday, April 22 and Out of the Woods Festival in Busselton on Saturday, April 23, 2022. For more info and to buy tickets head to holyholymusic.com
