High Voltage: AC/DC celebrations to take over Fremantle this weekend

High Voltage is set to take over Fremantle this Sunday, May 7 for a free celebration of music, community and the spirit of rock legend Bon Scott.

High Voltage presents an amped-up array of acts on trucks playing to fans around a 5km Fremantle street circuit plus more than 50 electrifying live performances and fun activities at three celebration zones throughout the afternoon.

Highlights include DIESEL, Dan Sultan, Natalie Gillespie and Friends, Body Type, Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, The Desert Stars, Eddie Perfect, The Southern River Band, Katy Steele, Whole Lotta Love, DICE, Barry Morgan, DJ Bee Rizzi, Junkadelic Brass Band, Billy Damage and The Jinja Assassin, Datura4, Perth Saxophone Rockers and many more.

As well as the rock’n’roll convoy around Freo, each entertainment zone offers a special live experience:

At Fremantle Oval music fans can catch Katy Steele, The Southern River Band and Dan Sultan rock the crowds before and after the trucks start their street circuit at 2pm.

At Wilson Park (South Beach) host Barry Morgan will bring beachside sounds from DICE, Datura4 and Ningaloo Records.

Esplanade Reserve is the place for kids and parents to enjoy loads of family–friendly music and activities hosted by air guitar champs The Jinja Assassin and Billy Damage with acts including Perth Saxophone Rockers, Junkadelic Brass Band and School of Rock.

High Voltage is a special free event that repowers Perth Festival’s 2020 smash-hit Highway to Hell to celebrate the power of music and community, and the legend of Freo’s favourite son Bon Scott, around some of the port city’s iconic landmarks.
