Hermitude announce national tour and eighth studio album

Aussie electronic duo Hermitude are entering a new chapter with the announcement of their eighth studio album, EIGHTThe new album is set to be released on Friday, April 17, followed by a national tour which hits Perth at the Ice Cream Factory Warehouse on Saturday, May 16.

Drawing on techno, UK Garage, and more, the genre-blending record arrives on the heels of Over You, a pulsing new single with nods to early ’90s warehouse raves, alongside previously released singles Royalty feat. Perth’s Adrian Dzvuke and For The Night feat. DEVAUR.

“Joy feels vital right now, almost like an act of rebellion against your own sense of gloom,” the duo said. “The dancefloor has always been one of the few places where differences dissolve.”

With a career spanning more than two decades, Hermitude have cemented themselves as one of Australia’s most influential and pivotal electronic acts.

Their breakthrough album Hyperparadise earned the Australian Music Prize, with its title track charting on the ARIA Charts, along with Flume remixing the track, surpassing 200 million streams.
