Gyroscope announce special guests for My Broken Spine tour
Alt-rock veterans Gyroscope have announced support acts for their upcoming national tour, as the group return for the first time since 2019 with their new single, My Broken Spine.
After kicking off the My Broken Spine Tour in Melbourne and hitting COFU Festival in South Australia—followed by shows in Brisbane and Sydney—the four-piece return to WA to play at The River in Margaret River on Saturday, April 11, and Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on Saturday, April 25.
Gyroscope will be joined by post-punk trio Spacerhead for both WA dates, with indie-punk outfit Ten Cent Tiger also joining them for the Rosemount show.
Famed for their ferocious live shows, the long-awaited release marks a new chapter for the local favourites, who have spent nearly three decades carving out a reputation as one of Western Australia’s most explosive live acts.
Before embarking on the tour, the band will be part of a star-studded lineup for X-Press Magazine’s 40th anniversary book launch at Astor Theatre on Wednesday, March 18, celebrating the publication’s legacy in championing WA music.
Emerging from Perth’s local scene in 1997, Gyroscope have since released four acclaimed albums, with alt-rock staples like Baby, I’m Getting Better and Snakeskin propelling them up the ARIA charts and earning both nominations and Gold certifications.
