The Fremantle Buffalo Club is hosting its deferred AGM. We’d like to encourage members who wish to take an active role in the club to volunteer for committee.
The survival of the club has been in question for some time. It has always been a place to go for those seeking familiarity and friendship in a changing world. To younger members, this is old world charm but the Buff truly is part of an older world. We have members who danced on our wooden floors fifty years ago.
To maintain our rare legacy the club has expanded from a humble social bar into a significant community and arts venue. The older members have supported this shift, which stems from the same need for friendship, familiarity, and community.
The club has no framework for this kind of change. The process is largely via the input of committee and member volunteers. Without more of this kind of support the Buff will not survive. Please join us. Nominations will be received until next Saturday, the 11th.
There will be a sausage sizzle on the day and all members are entitled to a free middy. For members who cannot attend, absentee votes can be submitted at the club from Tuesday 14th to Friday 17th.

_Committee Nominations_
Hard Copy committee nomination forms are also available from club staff. Member nominations can be emailed to the club via freobuffclub@outlook.com or lodged with club staff. They need to be signed off by two other members, as per constitution.
Nominations will be received until Saturday the 11th of May at 11.59pm. If there are not enough nominations to fill the 8 positions, nominations can be accepted from the floor on the day of the AGM.
_Member Voting_
Absentee voting slips and an agenda for the AGM will be posted at the club, on the website, and emailed to all members by 9am Tuesday the 14th of May. Absentee votes can be received up until 11.59pm on Friday the 17th of May.
Absentee voting slips must be handed to staff in a sealed envelope with your name, membership number and apology for the non-attendance hand written on the outside of the envelope and signed by you.
_On The Day_
The AGM will include short speeches from prospective committee members and a report to membership from the club president. On the day, hard copy financial summaries will be provided to members for the years 2022-2023, as per the club constitution.
